Removing Crayon

Our 2 boys just love to color everywhere!  Can you tell me how to safely remove the pen and crayon marks without hurting our new paint job?

We visited www.crayola.com and they provided several different cleaning options to remove crayons.  But we have not tried their recommended method of using WD-40.  I am not sure that would be successful, but who knows?  I have successfully used Goo Gone to remove crayon painted woodwork.  Check out their site at www.googone.com Remember to always try the product on an inconspicuous area before application.

Your best bet is to contact a reliable paint store and speak to a specialist.  Someone who is knowledgeable about pan can provide specific instructions for your type of paint.

Don't forget to provide your kids with tons of paper in an accessible area where "crayoning" is permitted.  That way they don't have the desire to mark on the walls.  Also provide them an area for them to display their artwork.

Another suggestion is to have your children help in removing the crayon from the walls.  It provides a wonderful learning lesson not to pain on the walls.
