MaryAnne
Sullivan MaryAnne comes from a long line of "ultimate housekeepers" on both
sides of her family. She is a home management consultant with over
thirty years experience.
After graduating from CSU, Sacramento and teaching for three years, MaryAnne
began MaryAnne Sibert & Co. in 1973 in Stockton, California.
She soon realized that she had developed a detailed housekeeping system based
on effective time management. MaryAnne's clients are amazed with her
efficient style of cleaning and organization. A long-time client says, "MaryAnne cleans the way I would clean if I knew how to clean."
MaryAnne believes that due to the budget cuts in
local schools since the mid-1970s, young adults have not learned basic
housekeeping skills. The result is parents in their 30s that cannot teach
their own children basic housekeeping skills and instead rely upon sub-standard
cleaning services. Essentially they are functionally illiterate in their
own homes and the well-being of the home is compromised.
She is also frustrated that vocational education
for housekeeping does not exist. There is a difference between janitorial
and housekeeping skills and this must be recognized by the vocational education
programs.
MaryAnne enjoys being active in her community. She
was a member of
Rotary for over 10 years and is a Paul Harris
Fellow. She has been a member of the American Association of University
Women for over 20 years. Over the years, MaryAnne has also been active in
fundraising for local charities, including the San Joaquin County Women's
Center. She is an alumni member of CSU, Sacramento and is a member of its
San Joaquin County Advisory Committee.
In 2001, MaryAnne received the Susan B. Anthony
Award in Business from the San Joaquin County Commission on the Status
of Women.
She is proud of her ability to operate a successful business through
four
recessions in addition to being a successful single parent to Jeanne.
Jeanne M. Sibert
Jeanne is the fourth generation of housekeepers in her family. She
began her apprenticeship with Sibert & Co. at 12 and became a business
partner at 18. She graduated from CSU, Sacramento with a BS in business.
In May 2001 she graduated from UOP's McGeorge School of Law with a JD and a
concentration in tax.
Jeanne also enjoys being active in the community. She was a Rotary exchange
student to Germany and is a sustaining Paul Harris Fellow. She served as a
member of Stockton's Waterfront Revitalization Task Force. In 1997 she graduated
from Leadership Stockton.
Currently, she is hard at work decluttering and
organizing her new home.
